hello november

Hello November!
Time flies and it's going to be
EXAMS
HOLIDAY
XMAS YEAR END
soon
(!!)

Hung out with the classmates for some chips and drinks after class today.
First time at Baja (friend said it is mexican so it shld be pronounced as baha)
Essentially, it is like a mexican fastfood.
Quite authentic and the magarita is quite yums.
Would surely go back often since it's such a nice place to chill and it's so near school.

Hope Nov treats us well!

mini road trip

Drove out for late dinner/early supper from his home > bedok 85 > tamp 201 for prata > pasir ris to pick his sis up > his home.
Despite almost knocking off the left mirror, being high beamed by an irritating uncle, mounting a curb bcos a taxi wldnt make way and taking a tad longer than usu to park into a lot beside a weirdly positioned curb,

ALL PASSENGERS SURVIVED!

Anw, practice makes perfect.
Give me a few more years.
Hahahaha

4 yrs and counting

Tried to date my this very busy fren but she was booked once again.
But with a twist of events, we ended up meeting anyways.
Dinner at our fave hangout- airport!
Bcos it's so near both of our place.

Cant believe the last time we met was xmas '12 =O
Really enjoyed the company- no leng chang at all.
And we were saying how it's impossible for 2 person to hit a $50 bill
but we did it!

Impressed at the amount we eat!
Haha.
We really need to hang out more :)

The portion is a little teeny weeny bit small

lunch and goodbyes

The last meal before his weekend diving trip to Perhentian Island.
A 10 hour bus ride which is insane.
Make that a plane ride and I could have been in Europe already.
See how wide his grin is (refer to last picture)
TSK.

In any case, we had lunch at ambush @plaza sing.
Still hasn't gotten back much of my appetite after being sick for so long so ordered a rosti to share, on top of the set meal he ordered for himself.
The rosti was SO GOOD!
It's much better than Marche's- less oily and there's the natural fragrance and flavour of the potato.
SO YUMS!
Would surely go back again when my appetite comes back!
*smack lips*

car's a boy's toy

Finally feeling better and having a lot more strength than the past few days to step out of house.
Still feeling a little weak and dizzy but dragged myself to car testing with e boy and his parents.
Not that I'm so eager to test cars, but the past few days of cooping at home is killing me.
Now I feel like having the health and strength to leave house for anything (work, school, play) is such a great blessing in itself.
:)

Had yummy avocado shake after dinner.
Alot thinner than the one I had at Kovan food centre but still quite yummy.
There's a stronger honey taste.
YUMS

scott's 21!

Random decision to meet up for dinner with the birthday boy.
Full attendance for once! after so long.
Even for my birthday nobody was free =/

In any case, we had dinner at the Japanese restaurant at city link where each plate was going $1ish. (cant rmb the exact price). There was no menu and what you see on the conveyor belt is exactly what you get. Almost of all of them are sashimi, some cooked ingredients here and there. By the 5th place I was kind of getting bored of the variety. Sashimi was worth the price but not as fresh as it could be.

Certainly price for money but I would rather have quality food. Sushi Tei is still my preferred choice for sashimi.

The giant boardgame below we were playing while waiting for fel to knock off. Her job for the entire day was to play the boardgame and let ppl win vouchers. We got the vouchers as well. But it couldn't be used for the sushi place, nor the ice cream place at the link. So I really wonder where the vouchers can be utilised.

I give up trying to use it. Haha.

Happy Birthday Scott! :)

I'm loving it!

Passed by McDonalds and the advertisement of the new sauces on TV just kept playing through my mind.
It's almost dinnertime but I just had to try it!
And we did.
Honey mustard was a little flat;
Wasabi not too bad with a little punch when it reaches your throat.

Verdict: Curry wins hands down!

Team lunch @Symmetry

Went out for a team lunch together at this quaint little cafe that is hidden in some discreet corner. Took a tad more time than usual but we made it in the end.
The places gives off a rustic vibe with the brick walls and dim lights. Kind of a cosy feel, perfect for a team get together. I think we were the only ones there then.
Ordered truffle fries and pasta and some of my colleagues steak.
All the dishes came with a heap of rocket veg which makes the dish quite balanced.
But too bad, Im not a fan of rockets.

Coffee there was alright, but the caramel gingerbread man is so adorable and yummy at the same time. Nothing can go wrong when there's caramel!

Nice place to chill but I probably wont be back unless someone's driving.

The Escape Artist

Went for a little adventure with the boy the other day after class (like a month ago) to "The Escape Artist". Really, it's a real-life room escape game where you find puzzles, solve clues, open chests after chests to attempt to get out of the room. Quite an interesting idea but it was SO SO SO FAR, being situated in Bukit Timah Shopping Centre. Making our way there from town was a mini adventure in itself.

The guys who started the place is considerably young, around our age and they were quite nice to talk to. Pardon for the louya group photo because the guy took a blur shot and this was the only group photo we had. Saddds.

For full review, you can read it here

Went for another food adventure after the brain exercise. Alighting at geylang and then walking to random places to eat different food for dinner.

First stop was wanton mee. Not fantastic but quite old school.
And then we had dim sum and ended the day with tauhuay.

Celebrated mothers' day one week in advance and had a Popiah and mee siam party at grandma's place. My mum sure can cook. Wish I had half her skills. Hahaha

mugging episode 2

Westside story 2 begins again and I feel so terribly bad to have to impose on his roomie again =X. Good thing he's kind of alright with it. And so, the routine begins again. It's quite effective and bearable for me since  it's only for a few days. But they do it every single day, I'm in awe.

But it's nice how in the middle of the night when you get hungry and walk to the pantry to cook noodles and then you meet people you know and start making small chats.

That's the end of my westside story. So gg to miss the cheap food, pretty library and all.
using his slippers as my floor mat
 empty library at 7-ish pm
le boy trying to terrorize me with his water bottle
gg crazy from overdose of mugging and wanting to wear my owl necklance and insisting that it's nice on him. *kuku*

total roomie love! Wearing the same shirt colour without any arrangement.
#roomielove #telepathy

 cheap and tasty lunch!
chicken cutlet rice @$2.80 only. So missing this now!
