Met up with cherie love to make jaz's bday card. Though we're both really not artistic at all, i think we did quite a decent job.

Love how dun meet often but instantly connect like the good old times.

Really enjoy the catching up and so so so happy for her! :))

Special day-out with bf today, specially booked like a week ago. :)

Made our way esplanade to join in this event called "songbird", which was uber cool! The storyline goes like this...

A young talented local singer is supposed to have a debut here in spore, however a series of events happened and cause her to be uncertain abt appearing at e event. So the point is, we are gg to backtrack what happened on that fateful day, following her footsteps.

And guess what, we borrowed an ipad each! The company is totally generous, high budget and trusting. So we just had to access to this ipod app called songbird and then embark on our adventure.

First stop was Fullerton Hotel and they did really good partnership with them cos we cld get in and really walk ard. And then we were walking all ard the area, listening to the earphones and it will just keep telling stories or showing footages of wat happened. Totally amazing! We even got to sit inside this limo! and had free ice cream! Super fun day! And then there were all the nice pretty things all ard for the arts festival. Feel so arty farty all of a sudden! The flea was good too but rushing to watch MIB3 so not much time to rummage thrgh.

Despite the insane weather, we decided to carry on with the plan.

Cycling for the 2nd time after i learnt. The tamp eco green garden is  no joke. I thght i could feel my legs falling apart.

pre bday celebration day 2

Got woken up by loud popping sound, for a moment i thght there was renovating near by house. Then it struck me that i was still at the chalet. How retarded. Ha.

So apparently daddy was bursting all the balloons from last night. Got up, helped to clear and move all e things to the car before leaving. Well, didnt exactly have a gd night slp though we were so very exhausted. Mummy told us to leave a light on throughout the night. But guess what, a single light on was light trying to sleep with the sun right above your head. No kidding. And it's funny how we so persistently tried to heed my mum's word. Till bout almost 5am we thght this cnt go on and finally off the lights and KO-ed almost instantaneously. Seriously.

Had breakfast @changi area before heading home. Funny how even though we're really really tired we couldnt nap any more. Hence, bf decided that we should go cycling. Fyi, i just learnt cycling late last yr. Cycling experience- twice including the one when i managed to learn. Bf wanted to go on a cycling trip to cycle on ROADS which was strongly refused by me bcos im not exactly 21 yet n i dont really want to kill myself before that. So rented a bike at sun plaza park and went all the way to tamp eco green garden which wasnt a good move. Cycling on grass is insane for a beginner like me. For every 3 trees distance i had to take a break bcos my legs r killing me!

Managed to survive it and cycled to pasir ris park. What a feat for a newbie like me! :)

Both got home, took a nice long shower before meeting again during evening. Wanted to catch a movie but no slots. :( Long story cut short, ended up dinner @85 with his parents. You must be wondering how our date got there. Ha!

N then it was more nua-ing at his place, watching silly shows.

My last day being 20.

pre-bday celebration day 1

It's funny how everybody keeps telling you "happy birthday" when it's not your birthday at all. And for quite a big moment, i almost believed it was my birthday too. Ha. The day started out in a M.A.D rush. Plan was to go for tuition, get back, change and doll up and then off to the chalet. But what's life if things go just the way you wanted them too. Obviously plan to go tuition folded, and all the subsequent steps behind them fall like a domino. Instead, went to pasir ris hopping to get my nails done despite not making any appt (made appt for ytd but well, it folded too =/) Obviously things didnt go as planned. Shortage of manpower, nobody wants to do my nails. Another mad rush to the simei, saw like 5 very free prc women chit chatting at e counter n saw a glimpse of hope. Guess what, they said they were busy. What nonsense! Decided to give up doing nails although, on the way to the bus stop, saw another nail parlour. And wohoo! they r willing to do express mani and pedi for me. Didnt have the luxury of time to do classic anyway.

 Nice lady but the lightning in the shop is SO MISLEADING. The orange light totally made my perception of colours fuzzy bcos e colour was not what i wanted when i saw in normal white light. But for the very least i had well maintained nails, so not complaining.

 Another mad rush to the chalet. Thank god for joel for drove us there, as my parents being super duper kan chiong spiders, have decided to leave in my aunt's car. This leaves the only driver at home my bro-in-law, who is still not ready cos my big sis is such a slowpoke. So hitch a ride from joel who was super duper nice to fetch all my nice helpers/buddies deb, wen, ced, tw n sw to the bed. And you're right, 7 of us in a five-seater. It's such a miracle that we made it to the chalet in one piece!

 Chalet was in a CHAOS bcos my parents being really kanchiong spiders got my relatives to come as well. Mind you, offical time for party is 730pm. =/ You know how many cook spoils a broth. That's right. This got my perfectionist sis who has a artist temper(if u know wat i meant) really angst n crazy. But still, we made it through with some hiccups here and there. But all's well! Thanks to my helpers who really put in their hard and sweat with the stubborn balloons that i cldnt blow, and all the diy decorations. :)

Lots of groups came in gradually and they all just brought back so much vivid memories i ever had growing up. It was SUPER NICE to see everybody, all these ppl who meant so much to me. And then it was another round of mad rush, jumping from grps to grps hoping to catch up as much as possible. Somebody remind me why i dont host parties. The only good thing is i didnt get a single mozzie bite. Plus i was so caught up in the action, i wasnt even hungry from not having dinner at all. Fyi, i only had one curry puff for lunch.

Finally sent off the last group of ppl, n totally collapsed at the dining table. Ate a little, cleared the place n den went to wash up for bed. Looked through my made-with-lots-of-love scrapebook from my boy n was really really touched. Read through all the things that each of you wrote and all the decorating you took time to do really got me teary. So thankful and utterly blessed for knowing each n everyone of you. And those who stayed on the other side of the rainbow, those who got really really lost, those who walked like crazy and all of you who turned up. Thanks a million.

IM BRACEFREE! This is totally bizarre.. Kind of miss my braces, excluding the pain, ulcers and all the hassle of having food stuck and stuck. It's just so WEIRD. Still in the midst of getting used to my new look. Teeth is extreme clean and sparking after the cleaning. Gonna abstain from coffee for at least a month, just to keep it nice and white. Hahaha My braces are one day short to becoming 22 mths old. Same as army. 1yr 10mths. =D

Had a truly fulfilling week!

Friday night was spent meeting long lost friend, yz, whom i have yet to meet/contact since 2 months ago. Finally had my first taste of Nando's. And we caught a super lame b-grade jap horror movie. Super epic day! Feels like old time :))

Sat was spent with secondary schools frens/east side gang. Supposed to catch the Titanic exhibition but in the end e plan sank. Hahaha.Long story but we still had a great dinner/supper.

Sun was spent finishing up my assignment. Uber efficient! :))

random

had a surpise visitor last night. heard e door opened and thought it was my sis who jus got back. But got a shock of my lif when i saw bf walking in. It was like 10min past midnight. So insane. Apparently watching the last few epi of pillow talk knocked some sense into him. Ha. Like how his dad was holding his mum's shoulder while we were at the airport e other day. So cute.
