Merry xmas!
Met yz today for a scrumptous dimsum lunch at tamp1. For a public holiday, the mall was actually quieter than usual. But somehow everybody needs to have lunch so the crowd were all congregated outside eating places. The dimsum restaurant we ate in was So crowded, we ended up in a so-called 'island seat'- the result of an impromptu table placed near the fixed sitting areas. To be more exact, we were right in the middle of the tables which made not evadropping quite the impossible.
Nevertheless, food was mega YUMS! And the table ended up looking much smaller than it really is bcos of all the dishes we ordered. Amazingly, we wiped out all our food clean. A very much appreciated and fulfilling xmas lunch :))
Of cos not forgetting our xmas exchange. And though belittle the tiny physical appearance of my small present. Major love whatever is inside. < 3
Day ended with nice cup of caramel frappe at Starbucks and photo-whoring.

merry xmas eve
i love xmas! Major love this season of giving, of physical presents, of soothing jazz music, pretty light decorations and mega sales everywhere. Single or attached, rich or poor, presents or not, they just don't matter anymore.
A holiday is a holiday- a day to rest whether or not it's a day ur religion celebrates. While i may not a christian, i think we can still adopt the fun from the special day itself- PRESENTS! Both giving and receiving that is.
As people always say "the joy in giving is much more significant than the joy in receiving". (something like that)
Arrived at work after a long holiday spent over at Genting highlands and was really astonished to find 8 little parcels sitting on my desk. Sounds logical but considering that im only a temp staff there for less than 4 months, it's just such NICE NICE NICE gestures. Totally warmed my heart!
And a prelude to the presents, they werent just chocolates or candies, mostly of them were hand chosen individually which really really melts my heart. Awww.. Got a soap&glory moisturizer mist from boss; parker pen with my name engraved, perfume, mini pouch, candy and chocolates amongst many others. Im such a blessed girl to work with nice people :))
But of cos i wasnt expecting anything at all! Thinking abt their gifts i actually felt bad for getting them only chocolates. But then again, they came together with heartfelt written notes which is priceless for sure!
Half day ytd and then spent the rest of the day at S' christmasy house. Major love his place for xmas bcos there's such a warm fuzzy cosy feeling whenever we enter. It's as though he celebrates xmas throughout the yr. His parents very nicely prepared some xmas delights for us- turkey, ham, sausage, salad, fruits and all which was REALLY REALLY sweet. Felt really bad for imposing on them so much but they were really such welcoming and brilliant hosts. :)
Did our usual catching up to fill up all e gaps of each others' lives. Enjoyed our yummy food and then had our highlight of the day- Gift Exchange! Well, i would say that we have all learnt to be better gift-getters as the years go. So all in all, i think we all had great gifts.

land of mist and fogs
Woke up with beads of perspiration all over my forehead with my back dripping wet. Really gross. And the fact that i dont usually sleep in air-conditioned rooms makes this quite a phenomenon. I guess it's a post-3d2n genting trip syndrome.
I don't usually along with my parents when they go on genting trips bcos it's one of the most boring places in the world. Plus i had just been there like months ago. But somehow something in me prompted me to wanna go. Perhaps it's the sheer lack of time in normal days that compelled me to wanna spend some bonding time with them. Plus i think i deserve to take a break from this mad reality before school officially starts come Jan. Despite it being a trip with my aunt and my not-so-shou- cousin, i still went ahead.
Well, being *ahemm* really nice n sociable, hanging with my cousin was not too bad. I kind of had a personal bodyguard the whole time. Come to think of it, i was nv alone for a single moment the entire trip. Hmmm... sounds good.
Half the time there was spent at the casino throwing money into slot machines. The other half eating, sleeping, shopping! I know how i always tell people that there is nth much to get there. But amazingly, i managed to grab 4 shirts, a pair of heels and a nice red shoulder bag. It's incredible, really. But having said that, i spent all my ringgit, every cent of it already. But then again, aside from my shopping loots, i also bought a lee cooper sandals for daddy's bday on the first day, a slice of cake, some bandage stuff from watsons, 2 magazines and alot of nonsense and all. So i guess my money was rather well-spent. right?
Celebrated daddy's bday on our first night there. Bought a slice of cake which didnt taste too good. But then again what do you expect at almost 12 midnight when all e nice bakeries had already closed. I love my daddy bcos he taught me to be selfless amongst many other things. To prevent others' from getting injured while at work, he used his bare hands to grab a flying machine part with sharp edges and had to have 3 stitches. I could even see his bones :(

But we did chill out at this nice cafe near genting hotel where you could sit outdoors and the place was awesome. All e mist and fog floating in Not forgetting the strong winds that chilled me mad. 17 degrees for genting is quite something. Feels like white xmas even though it's not snowing :)
All in all, i had a good holiday. Away from everything else you dun wanna think abt, just letting time pass as though u had all e time in e world, feeling a little richer with the difference in currency n doing everything u cant do in spore.
Coming back and rushing to cherie's 21st party @saf chalet from woodlands checkpoint is yet another story

Happy holidays!
Hurray to the long weekends. It'd been officially two months at my new workplace. Getting very much used to the workload and tempo already i guess. And I'd reached office much later than i usually would for the past 2 days. Bad sign! Gg to try and keep my records clean and not be late!
On a lighter note, so glad there's an extra day to the wkend ahead. More rest and nua-ing! Once in a while you just need to have some self therapy and enjoy the luxury of letting time pass you. Exactly what i'm doing right now! Having an entire room all to myself, air-conditioner switched on, taylor swift's new album RED playing on my playlist, surfing aimlessly looking at pretty things.. all with a bottle of cloudy apple juice on my side. YUMS! Bought it ytd night from the new Shop&Save near canteen 2 which apparently replaced the famous Nanyang mart. I guess the 7eleven will go bust very soon with the new competitor that's offering much more competitive prices.
Tried canteen 2's famous ayam penyet ytd night for dinner. Boy was it good! Crispy on the exterior and the meat inside is still tender and succulent. Super delightful even though i already had fried chicken for lunch ytd. But the aunty serving is a tad AP. =x Had salted caramel ice cream from canteen 1 after that. I'm so gg to get fat! But it was damn fulfilling! Though not wallet friendly. Haha. Good thing i dun stay ard here. Imagine me having to allocate a part of my spending on ice cream =/
In bf's room now doing my leisure stuff while he finishes his lifesaving training at the pool. Seriously, who on earth has training in school on a public holiday?! Pfmptt. But kind of enjoying the lone time. Hee! Bet it's burning outside now. Going to finish up my novel and bum ard n all before he comes back. Loving the serenity ard here. I think a lot of ppl's still in hall but i think they are all like me- Hide in the comfort of the room and not get out. Okay i did, to go to the bathroom, washing machine room and to hang out clothes.
Maybe i'll go out explore a little and walk ard a bit. Maybe, just maybe =p

I feel so bad for my boy, seriously. Read through his effective comms essay and it's just such a flop. Bad grammar, illogical arguments, no thesis even... All in all, FAINTS. He was so upset, he looked at me and told me how he's so gonna flunk this assignment.
This, is the problem with group work. And the best phrase to sum this up- too many cooks spoil a broth.
Tried to help. Did some editing but I guess his team members thought otherwise of it. I may not be an expert but at least being a comms student, that gives me an advantage over u. Tsk! So upset for him right now. I seriously hope that the bell curve (if any) will work in his favour somehow.
That's e thing abt project work. You have leechers, stubborn cows, all-talk-and-no-action-ers, bossy ppl... All sorts. You just have to choose them wisely if not you'll have to suffer the consequences. I met ppl like that but at least i'm able to convince them to do things my way, which, very much reduce the damages incurred. Sometimes, you just need to know your limits. If u aren't so good in a certain area, let others take charge. Don't force things and then everybody gets pulled into the cold water altogether.

movie night
Our idea of having a dayout like tat is supposed to be us watching some comedy/bimbotic/chick flick kind of films. But we didnt make it for the GF/BF session and had to catch Taken 2 instead. I tell you, it's the best coincidence that happened! Too good! We were just sitting at the edge of the cinema seat, so tensed up from the action and suspense. Thumbs up! And we didnt even catch Taken 1 before that but the lack of details while watching the sequel werent of any bother. So gonna watch Taken one of these days!

resident's evil
Mega monday blues today especially since the past wkend went horrible. It's just not how it's supposed to be, in fact it's far from what i've imagined. I guess we cant always have things our way. That's life. But having said that, i swear i was so so so close to pulling the plug. I'm not sure if days,months, or even years from now, i'll look back n wished that i made a different decision...
On a lighter note, i managed to catch resident's evil on fri night. GROSS! Referring to the zombies that is. It's so annoying how they pop out from nowhere and gives you a sudden adrenaline pump every now with their sudden appearance and coupled with the shark-approaching kind of music effect.
But the lead actress is just really HOT, crudely put it. I have a thing for athletic girls, probably because we just like to have things we can't, and i can never ever be a healthy, sun-kissed, lean, sporty girl. Lol. The plot is kind of -.- and i'm quite sure it's not as good as the previous sequels. But i must really compliment abt the scientific effects- they were so so good

thanks for e memories
Just when i was trying to decide what to have for lunch, Doug came over n ask if I wanted to join him. So we explored the nice cafe just downstairs. Another free lunch day cos he insisted on treating. Oh well. Must be bcos i witnessed how he was verbally shot millions of time by the sales reps with the harsh qns and gg through bad times together brings ppl closer. Ha.
Had class today- the LAST one of the year. Unofficial that is, bcos after presenting today, there's no point coming tmr. The lecturer is TOO unbearable. It's alright to explain thoroughly ONCE, but he has a habit of explaining TWICE THRICE MULTI-TIMES as though u didn't get it the first time. AHH. It makes me wanna stomp my feet.
But somehow there's this yi yi bu she feeling. It's like everybody knows we probably wont see each other anymore n there's this bittersweet feeling. So contradicting! And to think the person who initiated to take pic together is a guy. HA! What's e world becoming?! But that request kind of warms my heart, knowing ur presence means something to somebody...
For unknown reasons, saying goodbye after class today is extremely emotional and hugging seems like the most appropriate thing to do. HA! but no, i hugged no one! But ya, you get how it feels

OL un-OL-like
Sometimes I really wonder what's in my head. Forgot to bring brolly ytd, made a mental note to bring it today but.. FORGOT AGAIN.
It wldnt have been a prob until i had to go meet ex-frens for lunch @kovan n i realised it was pouring outside n there was no way i could get to my destination.
But guess wat, when life shuts e door on you, there's always a window open. And it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Boss drove e whole team out and we had a welcome lunch-for me! More than a week late but nvtheless still a nice gesture. Haha.
And before that, Boss got me to tag along with Doug to see how it's like to brief e sales head from all SH branches in the upcoming 4g plans. It's really quite an eye-opener. Other than knowing all e insider news before it was released, you get to experience first-hand of how it's really like and what happens before a plan is launched in store. And i must say the sales rep r a bunch of ppl from all walks of life. The more potato ones , the slightly ah bengish, the concerned, the impatient... It's interesting to hear their point of view bcos knowing all these is like their bread n butter n they wan to be fully equipped to counteract all the customer's queries and arguments.
It's really cool. And i'm actually liking my job. Not the usual desk-bound mundane 9-6

happy thurs
I'm dead beat now but got to listen out for kiki's REM night movements while her mummy goes to shower before i can head to bed.
Today was a super fulfilling day aka. nucleus connect day.
Had lunch @NEX with ex-nc ppl who are still working there. It's just such a warm fuzzy feeling to eat, chat, and interact with familiar faces. Especially since e people at my new workplace isnt the closest thing to friendly/inclusive/nice. I mean we do talk but it's more like asking me to help them with stuff more than wanting to have a personal conversation. But there's a few nice ppl ard who are truly willing to share experiences and personal feelings with you. Which, is kind of nice.
I'm certainly not the kind to try means and ways to fit into them. It really didn't matter. Why waste time on people who aren't genuine? As I got older, I realised how I'd rather have quality me-time than to put on my most PR smile and look as though I'm part of them. So anal right? Why can't i take more initiative. Ha.
But actually, i really do enjoy my new job. I've learnt quite a bit in just a week's time. Learning to use the SAP system which will certainly be advantageous in future, liaising with external media vendors (some networking maybe), some admin work, and nice lady in e team that brings me through all her marketing campaigns.
Oh ya, not to forgot dinner with my ex-nc GIRLFRIENDS! So so so nice to see them! The last time was on my bday which doesnt really count because i was all over e house. And then the warm fuzzing feelings come oozing all over again. When we met, J asked if XY and i were still attached. We gave a positive answer and then she asked the most unpredictable question- "with e same guy?" HA! That's how long we haven met. Long enough to haf a change in bf.
T got hitched recently and I'm just SO SO SO happy for her! How she glow with all e romance blooming and sweet nothings exchanged! Hee! Kind of forgotten how things were like when me and le bf started out. Been so long..
Anyway, it had been a most fulfilling day and im a happy girl. (even though le bf finished cca n is gg SUPPER w/ coach n frens n we wont be able to talk =/ )

Okay, since e ep has aired i can finally post this. Didnt want to remind ppl to watch it. Ha! Post was typed after e filming like month ago. Anw i look so unflattering!
Burnt my entire Sunday bcos of this.
And no, i didnt volunteer/ sign up for this but entirely for e sake of doing my dad a favour.
For those of u who rarely watch mediacorp production, "neighborhood society" is a local variety show tht promotes neighborhood cohesion just like its name suggest (DUH). So what they do is every week, they will go to a particular neighborhood to film. Firstly, they start off the game with a 达人who basically is technically the team leader and there she has to go ard the neighborhood in search of 10 people who satisfy the criteria set by game producer. After which, the 10 members with the leader will need to decorate some figure and adhere to the theme. Public will then vote and decide the winner.
And as usual i did e most epic thing.
You'll probably find my face really blank in e beginning of e show bcos i thght it was a rehearsal when it was actually the REAL THING. =/
Plus the weather was insanely hot and standing under the furnace-like sun for almost 5h is no joke and it makes me SUPER ANGSTY. Even with e camera on me, my face was just 臭 and looking really unglam with the sweaty-ness that was killing me.
Overall, it was a good experience. But.. i still dun want to do ever again!
My very nice frens came to vote and then escorted me home to shower before we had a very home-ly zichar dinner and then a nice htht session. :)

And no, i didnt volunteer/ sign up for this but entirely for e sake of doing my dad a favour.
For those of u who rarely watch mediacorp production, "neighborhood society" is a local variety show tht promotes neighborhood cohesion just like its name suggest (DUH). So what they do is every week, they will go to a particular neighborhood to film. Firstly, they start off the game with a 达人who basically is technically the team leader and there she has to go ard the neighborhood in search of 10 people who satisfy the criteria set by game producer. After which, the 10 members with the leader will need to decorate some figure and adhere to the theme. Public will then vote and decide the winner.
And as usual i did e most epic thing.
You'll probably find my face really blank in e beginning of e show bcos i thght it was a rehearsal when it was actually the REAL THING. =/

picnic under e fireworks
Had tuition on a national day holiday morning. How sad. Kids these days are really poor thing. Good thing my p4 kid is rather entertaining so time actually flies by. She loves telling me her things in school and she can blabber nonstop aboout all the different books and storylines that mr mystery & mr midnight write. (Not my era kind of thing though). Tried to ask if she knew boxcar children, she gave me a puzzled look. (oh no! generation gap! =O )
Went to met bf at his place after that bcos we had no destination in mind. Yup, we are always plan-less like that. His mum was like more enthu than us in planning places to go. I bet his mum would make a better bf than he does. Hah. She kept throwing places we could go and offered to let us take e car and all. How nice.
Out of time pressure and unwillingness to bum ard at home anymore, he finally compromised with my idea, e one that he always had qualms about. Ha! PICNIC!!
So we did some simple grocery shopping at his ntuc and started preparing. His mum was so eager and got us a picnic bag, picnic mat, and very meticulously threw in a pack of wet tissue which was super handy. Initially i thght it was my bf. But, no! Tsk tsk.

Took a LONG time to get parking lots. The only downside of driving i guess. Reached barrage and it was so OVERWHELMED with SWARMS of ppl. Apparently there was live screening of ndp at e field with a big screen (not big like cinema but still bigger than tv kind of big). Sat down and starting munching our food. Should have brought more if we knew the barrage was so happening! haha!

Unfortunately we had a group of kids, like a gang of more than 10 people, shouting at EVERY SINGLE thing sitting near us. I swear my ear drums were dying. Too attention-seeking! They just had to sing bday song at least 3 times at the TOP OF THEIR VOICE just right beside us. They were shouting and jumping THROUGHOUT e whole fireworks. That was a total turn-off.
Tried to chiong as soon as everything was over, but we could not fight e jam. In any way, we took like 30 min just to get out of barrage. Yup, that bad! I had no idea how long we took to get back home. Probably ages bcos i had a good nap throughout e journey. Hee.

chomp chomp
Met up with ex-work peeps n gk for dinner @chomp chomp. I know im a mountain tortoise cos it's really the FIRST time im gg there. Haha!
Being the super 路痴 that i am, decided to meet gk to make our way there together. So on e way to the interchange to meet her, i bump into sam! Apparently while waiting for me, jk bumped into jerome. So very coincidentally, we bumped into one another when we're supposed to meet straight at chomp chomp. Ha! N the serangoon guru who stays at serangoon brought us there safely.
Chomp chomp certainly lived up to its name as the smelly n humid eating place. I swear i felt like some piece of raw meat or what being cooked/steamed in the big pot. Ordered all the normal food that u will definitely eat at such places. Truthfully speaking, i think it's really quite over-rated. I would probably just go to 85 to eat next time. Nearer plus ba chor mee is not as oily as all e other stuff so wont feel so sick after eating.
Toured ard the village and all the shophouses along the road for a while. It's sooo pretty. If i stayed nearby i wldnt mind hanging out ard there. So many nice cafes to chill! Rot a little on the rooftop garden, catching up on life after they quit working. (cant wait for my turn although i'll be broke-r). Ha. It's so breezy up there! i was so tempted to pitch a tent n just slp inside.
After getting over all e oily feeling we had dessert @udder's. Strawberry fields was so YUM but dunno y my fren gk thinks it's sour. She's weird like tat! haha! But then again i have many weird frens. =p

blues
My whole body is in mega-aching mode now after standing for more than 6hours under the hot sun ytd. *faints*
And it've been a while since i had been so rested. By midnight, i was already on the bed which is something quite incredible. I even woke up numerous times naturally before my alarm actually went off. N managed to hitch a ride to office bcos my dad was on leave.
See, perhaps it's not such a bad thing that the boy is off to camp for 6 days. I'll probably need to start getting used to this since it'll be e norm when he starts school officially come August. Kind of like having this breathing space now but it's highly likely that i might be slightly 不爽 when i start seeing his camp photos. Haha. Still in e process of learning to find inner peace and to take such things in my own stride.

fully booked
My bf is extremely nice today.
Despite sleeping only @3ish, he woke up early @8ish to send her sis to jap class, drove home rested a little before driving over @9ish to send me to my tuition @10. Finished tuition @12-ish (shld be 12 but my tutee refused to let me go. again) n he came over to fetch me. Taobao-ed lunch to his hse cos his sis needs to eat too and then he drove me to sch for my 2pm class (although we turned out to be slightly late cos e roads ard wilkie are not very friendly with alot of confusing one way roads. we turned round n round n he kena erp numerous time for e same gantry. lol ). While i was at class, he went to the starbucks downstairs (bcos my sch library closed at 3 which is damn ridiculous! so early eh!) to do his work until i finished lsn. Then he drove us over to bugis to get scott's present before we drove over to mav's place for dinner. And then he had dinner halfway n went to fetch his parents home before driving back again.
So he spent the entire day driving ppl ard. Haha.
Sukiyaki steamboat @mav's place was YUMS. And we celebrated scott's super belated bday. Hah! Like finally after so long. Just a simple affair.
But bcos everybody stays in all directions now, it's quite hard to hang out till late at any particular place even though we had a driver bcos it's just not possible. So the easties left are just fel me n bf (mav had to leave for another date) which made fel e ultimate 电灯泡. But she claimed that she's most comfortable being with us. What can i say. Ha!
So we ended up hanging out at her place talking abt rubbish, she showing us pic of supposedly hot hunks n hot babes. lol! Before we left at 11-ish.
Thought my sat wld have ended like tat. But NO. Went to summerbreeze to meet bf's frens. How can i say no when he was so nice driving us ard the entire day right.. :x
Oh, did i mention i helped my bf to choose his present for his secret pal =/
But on a sidenote, bf's parents went on a short trip to malacca and got me stuff (small but still...)

Feel really healthy these day. It's like im back in jc times where i was quite fit due to forced jogging during pe lessons. My tummy isnt exactly flat but it's relatively tamed. hahaha.
Tried to have a breakthrough every session n ended up jogging 3.6kim like cross-country. How amazing! But all e apn kids blocking our way is kind of frustrating and i was on e verge of exploding. Good thing jogging is quite a draining thing so i didnt have much strength to scream at them.
My mum is quite weird. She complained that i shld quit joggin bcos im already very skinny. *raise eyebrow*

friday!
Another healthy day before hitting the wkends (little sleep, constant eating n spending money. tsk tsk).
Went jogging with jogging buddy @themonkeypoo on our usual route (tamp via park connector to pasir ris park) Kind of like jogging under the dark sky compared to the hot and humid afternoon. Although it's not as if we've ran alot but i think it's quite a feat for us considering that he's nua-ing at home/busy with tuition and driving and me working from 9-6pm which is really exhausting.Taking time out to work out is HUGE THING. Could really feel our strides getting wider than we started n breathing more smoothly while running. Running is still quite a dread though. ha! n we we were thinking how shocked wen wld be when she join us jogging when she's back. =x
But the best part of our jogging session is actually the post-jogging activity! Turns out today was an extremely hungry day and we had 2 sticks of old chang kee each n bubbletea. To minimise the guilt, we abstained from ordering pearls which are super strachy and full of carbs. But actually it didnt really matter since our aim of jogging was to keep fit > lose weight. Hee.

max-ed out day
Super jam-packed day. Struggled to wake up for tuition with merely 3 hours of sleep bcos there was no way i could even cancel tuition bcos my kuku phone went to the 'hospital' and suffered a major memory loss which resulted in me losing all e contacts i have had. *sigh*
Anw went to catch a wink at bf's hse bcos it was much nearer to int before i met the jco gang (loosely named bcos we chillax-ed @jco) Literally a wink bcos le parents came back after work n i find it rather unpleasant to be aslp when they're back. Ha. But they were quite nice to get me lunch too. =x
Le bf decided to be nice n sent me to tamp to meet my frens before he went back to finish up some work.
Was SUPER in need of a caffeine rush, wen alike, so we head on a search of a nice comfy coffee house. It's such an ungodly hour at 2+3pm but we cldnt find any seats AT ALL and landed up at jco whose brews were =S. But beggars cant be choosers i guess. Our reason to meet is quite hilarious considering the fact that wen would only be gone for 2 weeks. hahaha. but i guess there shldnt be reason for us to want to meet up anw.
Le bf was super nice n came to pick me up but tio scammed a little bcos the parents came together too. Got a shock when i saw them in the front seats while nearing the car. But got a lift to town so y not =p
And with 3 hours of slp n a few winks here and there, i survived marketing paper. WOHOO!

jogging
It's a super healthy monday today. Had this urge to do some workout (actually just feeling fat) after such a long long time. Weather was kind of good today after a light downpour in the late afternoon. So this time, we decided to face statistics and not indulge in self satisfaction. Hence, my jogging buddy made use of his smarter phone and dl-ed the nike app.
And to our utmost surprise, we didn't actually run as much as we thought! Totally epic! and instantly felt less tired after looking at the statistics and ran abit further than we normally do.
Funny how our psycho works. Sometimes u just need numbers and have the cold hard fact in ur face before you realize u're actually not working hard enough. Ha!

Met up with busy woman who went on her journey to seek nirvana. HA! Finally met her after like more than a month! She wanted to let me try this supposedly-uber-yums liu sha bao from imperial restaurant but by the time we got there, dim sum time was over. So ate other quite yums things before we went to chill at coffeebean.

MELODRAMATIC
It's a super ultimate drama day i tell you. I'm awake for barely two hours but all these dramas are enough to last me the entire day.
You know how some days you're halfway through a bad dream and instead of snapping yourself out of it, you just wanna keep on dreaming just so to find out if the bad dream has a twist and turns good eventually. Yup, today was one of those days. (Btw the dream didnt get any better than it started). And the best thing was, i woke up feeling like it was Saturday today bcos ytd felt so like friday, spending time rotting at home n doing alot of stuff (cos i took half day leave =x). So when the thought that today was Friday got thrgh me, i literally sprung out of bed. Instead of thinking TGIF, i was thinking: DAMN! Y NOT SAT!
Sigh. Reality sunk in and i flew into a frenzy getting ready and dashing out of hse. Obviously i was late for work by a little. According to official working hrs, i was late for 45 min, but according to unofficial working hrs, i was late for bout 15 min. Oh well..
But reached office and realised that i brought TWO SETS of keys out. This would mean that i literally locked fatty n sis at home. Oh dear... And i'll be home after 9pm today bcos of tuition.
If you think that's it. NO! To my horror, i forgot to bring my retainer box out and this is utterly GROSS! Imagine a pile of dubious looking ball of tissue on my desk and it's not rubbish, just my retainers wrapper in it. So horrifying.
But for this terrible day, there is one GOOD news. Read my mails and received my f21 parcel has been sent out. WOHOO! But gd news can turn bad instantly. Parents left for genting this morning which means... THERE'S NO KEYS TO LETTERBOX! Damn! And if i had a license, the car would have been mine for the next three days.
Oh ya, did i mention i missed coffee hour in the office just now cos i was so busy rushing for report when i went pantry there was NOTHING left. And kena nagged at by pantry aunty for taking water so late bcos she wants to clean up e basin all all e nonsense.
See, all these happened in LESS THAN TWO HOURS!

frens de la interview
Woke up with a pighead ytd (seriously!) on my left eye.
For a moment, i though it was one of those scenes in the movie 'Hangover' when you were so shagged out the night before you lost conscious of all the things that happened. And then when you woke up in a dishelved state, u try to recall what happened. I was thinking i cld have been punched by someone.
But all i rmbed was me slogging very hard for my annoying and disgusting marketing report, feeling mega tired and crawled into bed, felling unconscious almost instantaneously. So what on earth happened, probably not a food allergy. The only logical explanation was.. i RUBBED MY EYES TOO MUCH.
And my hands isnt exactly bacteria-free. So timely or untimely (bcos i needed to start on my assignment), i stayed at home. Fatty's mum told fatty to keep away from her cutest ah yi but eventually caved in bcos she was so exhausted and desperate to get away from sticky whiney fatty that she got me to play with her. Hahaha.
On usual occasions, the pig-eye would go off after an extended sleep will the sun comes overhead, bout noon thereabt. But this time, it just refused to go away! Symptom lasted till like forever but it was significantly better and with terrific makeup skills, it could be safely hidden away.
So at night, being the really really nice fren that we are, we decided to help our dear fren WEN with her assignment.
With that, we received our FIRST EVER INTERVIEW. It was totally HILARIOUS! bcos the qns were weird and the reply ced gave was equally ambiguous.
Here goes:
W: What do you think about washing toilets?
C: *trying to crap up with alot of things to say* To keep it clean... blah blah
E: *trying not to burst out laughing but already rolling on the ground holding tummy*
But within say 15min, it was a WRAP UP! Wen merely needed 2 min of footage so we easily made it through with weird moments of silences, fake nodding, awkward smiles. LOL!
And then it was ice cream treat from the director! =D
That ended a nice Tuesday alogether
For a moment, i though it was one of those scenes in the movie 'Hangover' when you were so shagged out the night before you lost conscious of all the things that happened. And then when you woke up in a dishelved state, u try to recall what happened. I was thinking i cld have been punched by someone.
But all i rmbed was me slogging very hard for my annoying and disgusting marketing report, feeling mega tired and crawled into bed, felling unconscious almost instantaneously. So what on earth happened, probably not a food allergy. The only logical explanation was.. i RUBBED MY EYES TOO MUCH.
And my hands isnt exactly bacteria-free. So timely or untimely (bcos i needed to start on my assignment), i stayed at home. Fatty's mum told fatty to keep away from her cutest ah yi but eventually caved in bcos she was so exhausted and desperate to get away from sticky whiney fatty that she got me to play with her. Hahaha.
On usual occasions, the pig-eye would go off after an extended sleep will the sun comes overhead, bout noon thereabt. But this time, it just refused to go away! Symptom lasted till like forever but it was significantly better and with terrific makeup skills, it could be safely hidden away.
So at night, being the really really nice fren that we are, we decided to help our dear fren WEN with her assignment.

gal date
1. Entrusted the impt task of buying movie tickets to her bcos class ended late. Guess what.
She bought Dictator for the FIRST ROW. HA!
2. Despite the mass of ppl waiting to cross the road from cine to 313, a bird decided to take a leak n pooped some fresh poo tat landed on yz's blouse. EPIC OR WHAT
Seriously dunno how to not laugh when im out with her! =D

a medditerrean affair
Celebrated the only June baby's bday (in our clique that is, i have like at least 6 frens celebrating bday in the month of June). So according to bday gal's wish, she demanded a dinner of med food, which was kind of exotic bcos i nv had the chance to.
Went to Club Med, located @ basement of Orchard Central. Funny how i walk right past it every twice a week but nv did try to walk into it.
The restaurant has quite a nice ambience, dim orange lights, candlelights on the tables and stuff. Concept of the place is like Marche, Ramen Champion tat sort. Given card, buzzers and a whole array of booths selling idiff areas of diff cuisines. Rather spoilt for choice and eventually settled for something really safe bcos wen tried it before- Duck Leg Confit, which was safely yummy!
So all of us bought a different dish from a different stall and then we ate them all together. Which i think is a brilliant idea cos we get to try a much wider range of dish! The Hawaiian Pizza was visually appealing with its thin crust and e spread of ingredients on it with yummy colours. But well.. not exactly the best dish. Slightly bland and not unforgetable. Lamb and beef kebah was yums though i dun really like these two kind of meat. But if gf deb was constantly picking pieces of meat from the dish, it prolly meant that it was good. Grilled Sea brass ordered by Ced was not that bad too, although he kept insisted that sea beam might turn out even better if not for the fact that the person who took e order head wrongly. Tsk! But it was still good. Tender and juicy with a crispy texture from the fish skin.Last but not least we had the Rosti with sour cream. Slighlt bland after all the savory food so slight disappointing.
So after dinner after some chit-chat, we decided to have an internal poll of the most memorable and must-come-back dish. Majority voted duck leg confit!
And then we had the best part of after dinner- desert! Look at all the yummy colours. Beyond words. But of all things, ced chose a banana cake which i absolutely hate. (BANANA! How gross is tat :S)
Had a mini song singing, cake cutting after that. But bcos there wasnt any candles, we decided to make do with the candle on the table.
And ced being ced, made us do stupid things with the "in-use" stone. HA!
Followed by lots of talking, walking, cam-whoring. All photo taken by my pretty Leica but koped from ced's blog cos all edited alr. Hee
Supposed to be movie session but i heard there werent seats left n they decided to trek to bugis and take long bus ride home. IDK why. But it must be crazy tw's idea. Lol.
So on the other side of the island, went off to meet bf and his friends. It's funny how we're all classmates/ schoolmates at one point or other but that's just it. Frankly speaking, if we ever broke up, would i ever see them ever in my life? 99.9% Nope! It's not me being pessimistic, emotional or anything like that. It's just a plain truth that we need to realise. And the vice versa applies. Just a sudden qn that popped into my head and i ans-ed it myself. See, think abt it urself.
Didnt do much actually, hang ard, went to forbidden city (haven step foot into Clarke Quay for dino yrs) and then slack at starbucks.
Slightly peeved by some stuff and den head home at 3-ish in the wee hrs. Think im getting old ba. Happening night life isnt exactly my kind of lifestyle anymore.

aloha~
Attended Jaz's 21st bday party today. And i think it's pretty amazing we're still in contact bcos we knew one another since primary school, and the 2 of them since kindergarden. It's like we're a family now more than just frens. Instead of lingering ard e bday day, we actually find ourselves catching up with her siblings and parents more than anything else. It's kind of nice.
We dun often, we might not chat much, but we share such a funny and weird rship we just glue back into shape right when we see each other.
