grad trip

And so, grad trip holiday has been finalised and BOOKED!
Instead of fussing about assignments and lecturer that speaks alien,
we were spending all our break time discussing abt this.
Not the best deal but throwing in that money for a proper grad trip with the mates.
So, the hydrophobic me is sacrificing and gg for a beach holiday.

The sea, sand and view better be worth my every penny.
Phuket & Phi Phi, see you guys in April!

classmates and such

Uni kids, especially those in my school, is pretty cool.
They plan and book their holiday without considering the academic school term!
=O

Hahaha.
But at least it's only the first/second week of school term so it isn't that bad.
Classmates J and J (they are sisters!!) went on a trip to India last week.
Saw the photos they've posted and it's actually really pretty.
But i don't think i can take the sweltering heat at 39-40 degree celsius,
Too insane!
J and J both came back a few shades darker!
And they very kindly bought us very authentic India snacks (!!)
Mad masala and chilli chatka.
Sounds really exotic (hmmm...).

PICNIC TIME IN CLASS! =D

Back to School!

Just 12 more hours and Year 3 Sem 1 officially begins.
Holiday literally flew by!
I'm actually slightly excited abt starting sch tomorrow
despite all the impending stress.
But I think I will eat my words within a weeks' time,
maybe even tmr after e lecturers spell out all the upcoming deadlines.
 Haha.
I'm ironic like that.

3 weeks of holidays and here's what I managed to do
despite spending 9 out of 21 days at work.
Not too bad I think!

-Tidied up my desk
-Minor cleanup of my room
-Brought le baby niece to the swimming pool twice
-Went out and met up with 3 groups of friends
-Finished half of "Vanishing Point" by Felix Chong
-Finished all 3 seasons of "Game of Thrones"
-Finished half of "In time with You"
-Exercised once a week
-Volunteered at "All Saints' Home"

It has been a FANTASTIC holiday.
I wished it was a little longer actually. =X
Quite excited to meet both old friends and new friends.
Plus all the lecturers this semester are entirely NEW.
Hmmm.. Fresh start!

Senior year, let's go!
Meeting the guys for lunch before gg to class together tmr
=D

slogging out cleaning up

since I was working ytd,
today marks the first rest day of my holiday.
WOHOO!

But holiday is tremendously short and nv enough
(only 3 weeks bcos exams ended late n all e ph in aug),
I really want to have a fulfilling and meaningful one.

So here goes:

Day 1: Clearing up the desk area
My study table literally suggests the state of my life.
And during school term, it is absolute chaos!
Pieces of paper and things at places at positions they dont belong n all.

before

after

Not much difference after, but it's a good start im sure.
This is mission general cleanup.
Since it is generally clean now,
mission accomplished!

Plus, I've changed my bedsheets too.

After all the laborious work,
I couldnt help it but was in desperate need of a nap and i did
after which I was woken up to a hearty dinner, prepared with lots of love by my dear sister.
Avocado pasta, baked chicken with Ritz crusts, coleslaw and sauteed mushroom.
Her cooking getting better!

where i belong

Bright and sunny national day and so we decided to be sporty and shoot some breeze.
Super duper crowded day and being the really louya rider that I am,
I ended up with a scrap and many bruises.
Nothing major but i hope it at least made me look a little more sporty. Hahaha.

bumped into some tanks driving by while we were on our way to city.

Plan was to have dinner and head to artscience museum for the Herman Miller exhibition.
But al thanks to the insane human traffic and overdose of barricades,
we couldnt make it to the museum which was just 20 steps away
and eventually missed the museum's last admission.
Sobs...

All we saw, plus some fireworks.

Ended the day with a prawning session with the guys.
Lesson for the day, patience is a virtue.

land of mist and fogs

Woke up with beads of perspiration all over my forehead with my back dripping wet. Really gross. And the fact that i dont usually sleep in air-conditioned rooms makes this quite a phenomenon. I guess it's a post-3d2n genting trip syndrome.

I don't usually along with my parents when they go on genting trips bcos it's one of the most boring places in the world. Plus i had just been there like months ago. But somehow something in me prompted me to wanna go. Perhaps it's the sheer lack of time in normal days that compelled me to wanna spend some bonding time with them. Plus i think i deserve to take a break from this mad reality before school officially starts come Jan. Despite it being a trip with my aunt and my not-so-shou- cousin, i still went ahead.

Well, being *ahemm* really nice n sociable, hanging with my cousin was not too bad. I kind of had a personal bodyguard the whole time. Come to think of it, i was nv alone for a single moment the entire trip. Hmmm... sounds good.

Half the time there was spent at the casino throwing money into slot machines. The other half eating, sleeping, shopping! I know how i always tell people that there is nth much to get there. But amazingly, i managed to grab 4 shirts, a pair of heels and a nice red shoulder bag. It's incredible, really. But having said that, i spent all my ringgit, every cent of it already. But then again, aside from my shopping loots, i also bought a lee cooper sandals for daddy's bday on the first day, a slice of cake, some bandage stuff from watsons, 2 magazines and alot of nonsense and all. So i guess my money was rather well-spent. right?

Celebrated daddy's bday on our first night there. Bought a slice of cake which didnt taste too good. But then again what do you expect at almost 12 midnight when all e nice bakeries had already closed. I love my daddy bcos he taught me to be selfless amongst many other things. To prevent others' from getting injured while at work, he used his bare hands to grab a flying machine part with sharp edges and had to have 3 stitches. I could even see his bones :(

My daddy's my hero < 3
But we did chill out at this nice cafe near genting hotel where you could sit outdoors and the place was awesome. All e mist and fog floating in Not forgetting the strong winds that chilled me mad. 17 degrees for genting is quite something. Feels like white xmas even though it's not snowing :)

All in all, i had a good holiday. Away from everything else you dun wanna think abt, just letting time pass as though u had all e time in e world, feeling a little richer with the difference in currency n doing everything u cant do in spore.

Coming back and rushing to cherie's 21st party @saf chalet from woodlands checkpoint is yet another story
