Been a long long time since i've updated. So here's e overview for e past weeks.


YTD

Had our gp paper ytd morning followed by our learning journey and the 'mass' movie. There's nothing much to comment about gp paper so let's jus talk abt e latter. NE journey this time was really exciting comparatively all thanks to our nice ne rep, m tan. Bcos while other classes have to take squeezely crowded buses to get to their NE destination, our class has chartered a bus at super subsidised rate. Totally love e shiokness of the aircon under e hot weather. But we got a little lost after that n after much effort, we finally reach CHILDREN LITTLE MUSEUM. The place was real 'big'. ha.



Went for e movie at 450pm n e movie was quite nice but abit brainless like fel. haha. Bcos she loves blob blob. I think the insectosaurus is cuter. Oh ya, n 2 of us shared a medium sized popcorn. Though it's supposed to be medium sized, it was damn huge. Both of us kept munching from e start till e end of e movie, but we still cldnt finish. ha.



After the movie, me n fel went dating n shopped all e way from orchard to sommerset. Really had a great day! =)

colloseum aka sports day.

Nothing much cos i didnt join anything. And all i could rmb was that e weather was super duper hot.

MY 18th BDAY =)

Jus want to say that i had a real splendid n memorable bday this yr cos i spend it with all my loved and close ones.

First with ced, sy, wendy, sj, tw, sw, qq with a ji dan gao for my bday cake with wax on it.

Then with ALG gang (fel, mav, hy, teckli, scott) with a damn huge hamburger cake n cards n flowers n stuff.

And then with more mj close frens (fel, tl, sheena) n sw for dinner. Pity m cldnt make it but at least that ex-bai kah gal scored one goal at her match.

And then and then it was with my sec sch BFFS (deb, wendy hj) n sw for dinner on sat night. Had a great time catching up though most cldnt make it.

We put in our blood, our sweat, our time n it was all over within minutes. 

I guess it's hard to not feel a little disappointed, but i really have to acknowledge the hardwork and enthusiasm that each n everyone put in. It was simply awesome compared to the first time we played, not forgetting so many members who learnt their respective new instruments in several months without any prior experience. Very impressed. We r a great orchestra no matter what.

went back to prss to borrow instrumentS with ced tw n james

in e midst of co prac cos we really had no other free time.

Wanted to borrow only certain instruments

but we ended up with alot more than we asked for.

it's exactly one wk ago that i fell sick n missed sch for 3 days. It's bad falling sick but it's damn shiok to stay at home minus all e vomitting n dizziness. Didnt really eat while i was sick so i got super flat tummy which probably wont last till e end of this wk. And m was damn envious abt it. 3 days is quite a long time n i think i missed out quite a lot. im not refering to e tutorials n lectures (whol cares!) but rather e gossips n fun (=x) .

m, f, s and c are very very nice ppl. cos they help to pass me handouts n take note of e hw =)

i cant wait for term 2 to end. Skip all e dreadful things that must happen first-napfa test, syf, all e horrible double periods gp, 505 late day everyday... ... ...

wishful thing. shall go finish up 3 bio essays so that i can have an early night. =(

It's only been two weeks into the new term and im feeling quite drained out already. I cant even rmb how it feels like to reach home before 6pm. That's how packed schedule has been recently. But for the very least i have quite a no of breaks here and there between lessons.

Reached home at 9pm today after having co and chiong-ed to watch e last episode of the housewives drama. Im jus about to settle down for work right now but i cant seem to be able to start that engine. YAWN. i'll probably have another late night today.

09S302 CLASS OUTING

Had our first class outing of the yr ytd. Made my way to ehub! with W right after CO. Had dinner together at pastamania before proceeding to the threatre for our move-race to witch mountain. Rock was totally e main focus. haha. T was totally suay. Was out with him for three times n all 3 times, we spot someone with e exact same outfit as him. ha! totally suay-ness.
After movies, hang ard e place for a while, cam-whore alot before we head home at abt 10plus.

Had our usual "secret" outing ytd. Same venue, same people, doing our usual regime-movies and dinner. Spent almost an hour trying to decide the movie we're gonna watch. T was super duper insistent on dragonball while M was super duper anti-dragonball and insisted on hotel for dogs. Meanwhile F, S and me belong to the anything also ok grp. So we let M and T argue for damn long but none gave in. After super super long, we decided to watch non of the two shows and watch coming soon instead. Then it was F's turn to be super against. Understandable cos she dun watch horror. Even when we watch horror shows during free periods in the library, she will face away from e tv. haha. So after an even longer time, F gave in. Damn touched. haha. So we bought e tickets n went in. S came to join us after missing half an hr of e show.
Most horror shows starts out very peacefully but not this one. Jus 30s into the movie n we're all starting to freak out. Maybe not e guys la. jus the 3 of us. N in e midst of e show, M and i were seriously regretting watching the show n M was scolding vulgarities. haha. F was even more zai. She was covered her face throughout e movie n merely watched 2 scenes.
Overall, e movie was quite sucky la. ha! Everyone,esp e guys, was complaining after walking out of e threatre. Went fish n co xpress for dinner after that. Had our gossip session part 1 while eating. S left after sitting down for less than 10 min.
T was feeling damn cold so we moved to coffeebean to continue session part 2. Stayed ard till abt 9+pm den we went to buy tickets for the class for our class outing on wed night. Now i have 20 tickets with me. May i not lose my wallet. haha.
Been staying at hoem most of e times these few days n im loving it. ha. Love e feeling that u dun have to drag urself out of bed to go to sch. But this hol is real short. N i have a damn sucky timetable nxt term. ahhh!

but e very so often co pracs r making me really tired.

reached home at unholy hrs on tuesdays, unable to do anything productive.

Esp today cos i nid to go sch early tmr.

Sob sob.

Cant wait for march hol nxt wk,

Though 3/7 would be packed with co.

1/3 FORTIFIED

Had official orientation today cos e past 3 days were jus admin days.
Met my new classmates
n my class consists of rojak H1s (gsc,his,econs)
which means i will have loads of pw n chinese periods for me to kill time.
I guess they r all alright ppl la, unique individuals.
But i still dun realli know them well.
My class now has 8 guys n 14 gals, quite proportional in comparision.

games today was quite physically demanding
cos there's not much time to rest or sit ard.
my leg's like aching now alr
n im super tanned with me havin ugly v neck tanlines.
But im a realli smart gal,
ended e day realatively clean with no disgusting flour, mud, ketchup etc etc.
There was this game where everyone's supposed to be blindfolded
n to walk across this obstacle course with e ground full of milky substances such as flour, detergent, ketchup etc etc.
Totally smelt like rotton eggs.
Having attended quite some orientations, i kind of anticipated wat's gg to happen
so i gladly volunteered myself n
ends up giving out commands without having to go thrgh all e yucky stuff.
=)

quite dreadful cos i dun want to run abt spore
n walk under e hot sun.
but.. oh well. i dun have too much of a choice.
hopefully e next 2/3 of e orientation wld get better.

things have changed somehow no matter how much they r e same.
i miss 08S303 gals alot alot!

MONDAY BLUES.

actually not, it's jus 5hrs away.
tried to turn my clock but it really didnt work.
So i guess i'll have to go to sch later with 2h of slp.

After all e mental torment and consideration,
it's all gonna end.
But for now,
im still STRESSED.

i fell into a hole while getting to my destination.
Should i take e same route again and try to get myself out of e hole
or shld i jus take a totally diff route to e same destination.

SIGH. decisions r not called decisions for nothing.

been sitting here for at least 6hrs,
doing research, sieving out info n doing up e ppt.

cny comes n go in a blink of an eye.
cny as in e first two days.
was kind of anticipating it n e nxt moment it's over.
guess it's kind of dreadful for cny to fall on e beginning of a wk.
it jus makes cny realli short cos e wkends r so far away.
anw, e first day was spent at home n at my aunt's place.
second day at my ah ma's hse n r's place.
was basically doing e same things
eg eating, watching tv, playing cards etc etc.
n my little cousin who's onli 5 is super zai cos she drinks carlsberg beer ok.
n we lao yu sheng-ed plus e yu sheng realli has salmon in it.
was clearing up my desk n all e gd times we've spent together n mani first times we shared came to mind. realli missed those time n i wish u were still here jus like before. but i guess tat's not gonna happen anymore

CO CNY GOODIES SHARING DAY.

had our very first cny goodies sharing day today.
haha. n our main highlight for e day was e yusheng.
lugged this super big bag like auntie to sch today
which contains all e veg n utensils for e day.
but must mention c also, cos his situation was worst.
He carried a huge aluminum tray, n 2 big box of yusheng to sch
early in e morning like 6+am.
Anyway, i think e event went well.
Was actually quite worried abt having silent and awkward moments (aka leng chang)
but im glad it kind of didnt happen.
Plus e yusheng was quite yummy
esp with e pomelo my mummy sponsored.

oh ya not to forget e adventure we had while gg home.

but somehow c, w and me decided to walk home using the park connector.

And c took us to this route he took on serveral occasions as seen below.

we were mentioning how we dun wan to see ppl we know while climbing.

after that we went to buy bubble tea but not from budget this time round before heading home.

end of working days.

Im officially jobless now.
It've been a fulfiling but tiring work
n it definitely beats staying at home doing unproductive stuff.
The working exp this time round is rather different.
Got to know alot of ppl from all walks of life,
there's ppl younger than me, ppl my age and ppl who's in mid 30s,40s,foreigners, locals, u name it.
We're all by name cashiers but in actual fact we're bao ka liao.

On e first two days, we helped in e setting up of e expo sale.
We open up all e bins which were rusty,heavy n dusty, doing all e coolie-alike jobs.
And then we need to paste all e price labels on e things.
For e department im in, it's pasting price on the confectionary.
The pasting motion,routine seemed endless
but in e process we had fun, throwing things around, chatting while doing.

For the next 8 days, we're cashiers cum packers.
Cashiers if we have a packer beside us to help us pack customers' purchases into plastics bags,
if not we'll have to multitask.
This is probably e fun-est part but i guess e scariest part as well.
It's fun to scan but not if u made any mistakes
bcos no matter, it concerns money and third parties-customers.
Not forgetting e third day when i met XLS there working.
I got a big big shock. haha.
So i always visit her when i go to e toilet.

On e last day which was monday,
we had to help in e tear down, doing e coolie-alike jobs again.
But this time, we know how to eat snake alr
so it was more of chit chatting, listening to music and EATING.
Cos im in e confectionary department
so our day started out with eating,
eating all e samples of biscuits and drinks.
E day ended with eating as well.
All e remaining samples or food that suppliers treated us
was shared together during debrief.
It was like holding a picnic
and then everybody started taking pics together.
We even took pic with e security guard.
Shall update these pics another time
cos cat and ming er both not efficient enough. haha.

After these eleven days (including my 2 off-days),
i can sunmarise some of e customers' behaviour i've seen.

Considering e fact that there's this lucky draw forms given out, these are some of e reactions:

1. Why i don't have e forms?!?! I bought so much why dun have?

2. Don't need la. Wont win one.

And some customers who dun even take note of wat they bought.
Upon paying, when we tell them tat it's like a hundred or few hundred over, they make a big hoo-ha and insist that we've double scanned or overcharged and demand us to go through e receipt one item by one item which is ultimate madness considering the amt of things they bought.

Although they are times that cashiers make mistakes too but it's jus cos we're human too.
And often that not u'll meet unreasonable customers who show e black face, scold, complain us etc.

One super memorable incident is with this white haired uncle whom i accidentally overcharged. Bcos there was no price tag on e item and e till controller had to page for e price but gave e wrong one. He got unhappy and i cldnt be bothered with him so i got my till controller to come over and she tried to appease him by giving him a credit voucher for e amt i overcharger which is probably e best solution. But guess what he said.
"This is not acceptable. Why is this kind of thing happening. I think something should be done to the system etc etc." and he rattled on and on nonstop. He totally jammed up e whole q.
What's more he came to shop some more e nxt 2 days n when he saw me he smiled and said hi.
I bet he's mentally unsound or that he's so bored at home he needs to pick up a fight somewhere.
