Started the last-day-of-the-yr day at bf's hse doing my assignment. So ridiculous right. Oh well.
Then, Had dinner together with e guys at katong area cos cy suggested to try this famous indian cuisine near katong. Found the place but we had some trouble ordering cos we cldnt figure out wat's wat. Haha! N when e food came we were in shock! Portion was pathetic but i guess it's worth paying for e atas experience. Dinner round 2 at fat boys further down e road. Food was yummy! Portion real huge. Good thing i shared the chilli cheese fries with reb or i'll become fat gal.
Drove off, n bravely into city despite the risk of traffic jams. Haha. Not tat bad. But navigating ard the place was hard with all the road blocks and closures. N we did a ultra scary jaywalking across the road under the marina squ bridge. I swear i cldnt open my eyes while i was pulled along. Didnt have time to get a high spot by midnight so we stood stranded abt 200m in front of mandrian hotel. N guess what. we had the best spot in the world! fireworks were working their ways right before our eyes. Even the not very tall person like me had a good view and it was spacious albeit a little humid.
The fireworks were INCREDIBLE! Even better than those on ndp's!
N then it was otw to clark quay. The crowd was overwhelming! Scary max. N i left my ic on the car, so no clubbing. hahahaha. Which is a gd thing! So went to chill at cafe iguana cos everywhere else was TOO PACKED. The music there sucks! They think it's funny to cut off e music so ppl can sing along to it every few sec. But it really sounded as though they had a bad stero =.=
Love love love fireworks. Im sure 2012 would be a blast jus like the fireworks! :)
