it's a wrap!

Photo shoot on a Saturday for the upcoming conference aka our BIG presentation day.
Super waste of time to have a common meeting time when it could be a lot more efficient if the organising team simply tell us to our photoshoot time slot beforehand.
But we made use of the chance and had some class bonding time.
Oh well. making the best out of things as usual.

Ate at Quinoz Sub which is so fantastical.
What's subway? But of cos subway is more economical for the pocket.

For somebody who's not photogenic, I'm really not nailing it. (quoting antm. hahaha!)
It was SO AWKWARD
I swear I could barely smile naturally with all those bystanders and camerman and crew.

So other than the formal shot that was required, the school totally exploited us and made us take some Halloween shots so that they could post it up.

In any case, it's a wrap guys!

friends for life

Finally meeting up with the girls! We go a long long way back and there are like one of the first few friends I've ever made in life! So the fact that we're still meeting up and keeping contact is so heartening. It's really nice how we seldom meet up and all but it feels as though we were still back in time whenever we see each other. From talking about frivolous things in primary to now talking about uni/post uni life and future plans, it's all so grown-up now. I really miss being that young all over again.

We had dinner at this crystal jade cafe since most of us have yet to try it. The milk tea is so cool with the dry ice floating and contained in a flask all potion-like. Find the tea abit too fragrant for my liking, as though I'm drinking perfume.

Food was not too bad. Visually appealing as well.

And how can we not complete the meal with some ice cream.

Lots and lots and lots of selfies. But for the fact that we seldom meet up, this is barely enough.
HAHAHA.

So happy to know how my friends are all so blissful in life, am really glad to share their happiness and joy

maxed out

Because rushing to finish up 3 essays within days is extremely exhausting and depressing,
I splurged a little and bought a brandless but cutesy laptop sleeve for myself.
Something I wouldn't splurge on if I was in the right mind.

Oh well, they say retail therapy helps.
=P

that moment when you thought u were done so u decide to clean up ur essay a little,
and then you realised you're actually FAR FROM IT.

*sigh*

cravio duo

Green tea and vanilla sounds like a wonderful combination.
Thinking that it will taste amazing like matcha, I decided to give it a shot.
Verdict: No worth trying
The taste was flat and instead of mixing well, the two taste was too distinct and uncoordinated.
BOO

tuition musings

Tuition today was slightly more mind-boggling than ever. My tuition sessions each week is usually quite a breeze since it's my second time gg through the entire P5 syllabus. But today, tutee's mum decided to get me to explain a math question. See, there's a reason why I'm only tutoring her English and Science.

The math question was SO long. It was such a major turn-off just trying to finish reading it. *see stars* Plus the play of words and objects drove me nuts. Fortunately, tuition to me is a group effort and I SOS-ed my tuition helpers. Helper C woke up just in time 30min before my tuition ended and solved it all. YAY!

So not gg to teach primary school math ever- cnt use algebra!?!!. Now I really think algebra is one of the greatest invention ever. It's so useful. And my tutee is terrific. She was just one or two steps away from the answer.
Impressive.

study date

Made an effort to wake up early for breakfast together so that we can start work early.
But it was raining so heavily, all I want to do was sleep through the cool air and lullaby-like rain.
*yawn*
Back to work

Byzantium: A bloody vampire story

Finally pulled through to the last weekday of the week! It's such an amazing feeling. Lessons are as dense as ever and somehow this semester, lessons have never ended on time before let alone having early release. It's those where you kept flipping through the slides but it feels like the lecturer is never gonna finish explaining. Even having two mini break through the 3-hour lectures ain't helping much.
*faints*

But at least there's something to look forward to after work today. Having a movie date with my dearest boy. Catching movie "Byzantium" at the most ulu place ever (even though it's in town). But we took a while to find it. The place was so rundown as it was still undergoing construction, plus us having to go up to the 13th floor didn't give a very good feeling.

Since usual practice was to visit the loo first before sitting through a 2h long movie, we were politely directed to the washroom by the girl. Apparently, the toilet emphasised my uneasiness. LOL. The whole washroom was so reflective and mirrored, I keep seeing my own reflection at every corner and almost walked into myself several times. *hair stands*

The preview cinema itself was very RETRO. The wide leather seats were very different from cinemas today, clearly a sign of old but luxurious theatre. And the screen was visibly curved. But since it was a media preview session, it was free seating and everybody was jotting down notes through the movie. *stressed*

Byzantium is basically a story about a mother and daughter vampire and the mystery behind their past. Unlike twilight, it really is a darker and bloodier version. Hence the rating M18.
Second British film I've caught this week. Personally feel that this movie is quite a letdown. The ideas are quite original but I think it's a little unexplored and under-developed.

the purest love of all

Caught About Time the other day at Cathay City Square (JB) over the decision to cab out for seafood remains one of the BEST choice we've made. The movie is SO NICE. Not the exciting thriller or brainless comedy, slow pace but it gradually builds up the emotions. The girl beside me was literally sobbing her heart out. My tears which was hovering at my lower eyelid immediately was taken in again. Hahaha.

But it's really so tear-jerking and I finally concluded that I want the song "How long will i love you" to be one of those songs playing at my wedding. It's just too too too beautiful when they complement it with the movie development.

Plus it was about a week before they release in Singapore. 20RM for 2 tickets is the best deal ever! Plus the exchange rate- 2.54. Fantastic!!

How long will I love you
How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you,
And longer if I can

How long will I need you?
As long as the seasons need to
Follow their plan

How long will I be with you?
As long as the sea is bound to
Wash upon the sand

How long will I want you?
As long as you want me to,
And longer by far

How long will I hold you?
As long as your father told you,
As long as you can

How long will I give to you?
As long as I live through you,
However long you say

How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you,
And longer if I may

We're all traveling through time together
Every day of our lives
All we can do is do our best
To relish this remarkable ride
