Byzantium: A bloody vampire story

Finally pulled through to the last weekday of the week! It's such an amazing feeling. Lessons are as dense as ever and somehow this semester, lessons have never ended on time before let alone having early release. It's those where you kept flipping through the slides but it feels like the lecturer is never gonna finish explaining. Even having two mini break through the 3-hour lectures ain't helping much.
*faints*

But at least there's something to look forward to after work today. Having a movie date with my dearest boy. Catching movie "Byzantium" at the most ulu place ever (even though it's in town). But we took a while to find it. The place was so rundown as it was still undergoing construction, plus us having to go up to the 13th floor didn't give a very good feeling.

Since usual practice was to visit the loo first before sitting through a 2h long movie, we were politely directed to the washroom by the girl. Apparently, the toilet emphasised my uneasiness. LOL. The whole washroom was so reflective and mirrored, I keep seeing my own reflection at every corner and almost walked into myself several times. *hair stands*

The preview cinema itself was very RETRO. The wide leather seats were very different from cinemas today, clearly a sign of old but luxurious theatre. And the screen was visibly curved. But since it was a media preview session, it was free seating and everybody was jotting down notes through the movie. *stressed*

Byzantium is basically a story about a mother and daughter vampire and the mystery behind their past. Unlike twilight, it really is a darker and bloodier version. Hence the rating M18.
Second British film I've caught this week. Personally feel that this movie is quite a letdown. The ideas are quite original but I think it's a little unexplored and under-developed.
